Dr. Faqeeh enjoys over 35 years of experience in hospitality and tourism businesses. Managed and operated hotels, resorts, spas, and food and beverage concepts. He has established a reputation for successfully supporting tourism and hospitality in all its aspects and has worked as a consultant and advisor for high-profile projects in the region.
Since 2012, Dr. Faqeeh has played a crucial role in upgrading the hotel classification and rating system for Tourism Authorities in the GCC, including Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, and Sharjah. He has implemented a global state-of-the-art facility that is linked to social media as a modern tool, which has helped these countries improve their tourism and hospitality offerings. In 2015, he created a system that integrates hotels and its restaurants to Tourism Authorities, implemented in Bahrain and recently in Abu Dhabi. This approach supports Tourism Authorities to collect real time data to make instant decisions in supporting the hospitality industry.
His expertise has been recognized by the Arab Tourism Organization (ATO), and he has been assigned as an advisor to the President of ATO. He will be implementing a regional upgrade in the hotel classification system for tourism authorities in Arab countries, helping to improve the quality of tourism and hospitality offerings in the region. With a Master’s and PhD in Hospitality Business, Dr. Faqeeh brings extensive academic knowledge to his practical experience in the hospitality industry.
